Scottish Oat Scones


Scottish oat scones

2/3 c. butter, melted

1/3 c. milk

1 egg

1  1/2 c. flour

1  1/4 c. oats

1/4 c. sugar

1 T. baking powder

1t cream of tartar

1/2t salt

1/2c. raisins (or any type of fruit!)

Preheat oven to 425 degrees farenhiet.Add all dry ingredients together. Add egg and milk. Make a well in dry ingredients & pour egg/milk mixture &  melted butter. Mix. Flour counter & pour the dough onto the counter(it is not a liquid at this point!) Pat into circle & cut into triangles. Bake on ungreased sheets for 12 – 15 minutes.

These scones have become a staple food in my house. They are really tasty and easy to make. Let me know if the directions are confusing, or if the recipe doesn’t work. Or if it does work.

Zucchini Bread

3c. flour


1/4t. baking powder

1t.baking soda

2c. zucchini

1t. cinnamon

3 eggs

1c. oil

1t. vanilla

1/2c. nuts (optional)

Preheat to 350 degrees F.  Mix in large mixing bowl.  Pour into 2 greased loaf pans. Cook for 1 hour. Let cool before taking out of pan.
